Martin Widmer

Martin Widmer has been a curator at the Centre d’art de Neuchâtel (CAN) since 2011. With Arthur de Pury, Marie Villemin and Marie Léa Zwahlen, he has put together numerous solo and group shows. He was one of the instigators of the “Abstract Protest” show during which Gregor Schneider’s cube should have been erected in the center of Neuchâtel and sparked significant controversy. He then worked on the progressive exhibition “Superamas” (2012-2013), which included over 70 invited artists from Switzerland and abroad. Following that vast undertaking, Widmer was involved in “La Cavalerie” (Bruno Botella, Marie Cool Fabio Balducci, Bruno Jakob, Andrew Lord, Sarah Lis), with Marie Villemin in “Cocu ou Marron” (Vanessa Billy, Lupo Borgonovo, Michaela Eichwald, Marc Hurtado), and in the solo show of Johnathan Binet “Justesse et Quiproquo.”

You can view all these shows at the CAN website: www.can.ch
